I am a time served engineer and have achieved the national certificate in Maintenance and Diagnostics. My engineering interests started early as my father was a car enthusiast and was always had a project going in the garage at home in Morningside, we built all sorts of mechanical components before I left school. Leaving school I went to Northland Polytechnic for six months then I served my time with a local precision engineering shop before moving to Auckland for four years to manage a machine shop in south Auckland. While I was working down there I brought a truck and set up a mobile engineering contracting business, I was spending any spare time locating and buying machinery in the hope that one day I would move back home and set up my own engineering workshop. Once my parents garage was full of the machinery for the workshop I though I had better lease a workshop and get the gear to work, I did this back in 2004 and leased a small shop in Bounty place. My father gave me a help when I was busy until I reached the point in 2005 I had to employ another person, Geoff is still with us now.
Out side of work I enjoy and participate in a range of sports ranging from motor sports to fishing and kicking a ball around with my three young kids.
